The original Ks developed by Kerope Zildjian in late 19th century Turkey had a dry and shimmering sound and were as innovative and inspiring then as they are today. Like the Ks of Kerope’s day, today’s K Zildjian Cymbals are still crafted from Zildjian’s secret cast bronze metal alloy with a traditional finish. The impressive network of elaborate hammering marks and lathing work give the cymbals amazing versatility with a wide-ranging blend of high and low frequencies, depending on how you play them.
